Energy Saving Solutions
With the increase in the price of energy and fuel, saving energy has become very important in order to increase the economic efficiency of poultry farms. There are various solutions to reduce energy and fuel consumption in poultry farms, and in this article, we will discuss the most important and scientific ones, which you can equip your poultry houses with using the products produced by Arian Industries.
1. Using minimum ventilation:
More than 5 percent of the heat in poultry houses is removed through the ventilation system. Using minimum ventilation to reduce fuel consumption in cold seasons is inevitable. One of the important problems in poultry houses in the country is the lack of a minimum ventilation system, and tunnel ventilation is still used in cold seasons.
In cold weather, minimum ventilators along with winter air inlets should perform ventilation. In this system, using the air inlet and adjusting the negative pressure of the house, the speed and direction of the air flow in the house can be adjusted. This is because the incoming air mixes with the warm air near the ceiling and the warm air near the ceiling is transferred over the heads of the birds, thus saving fuel. It has been reported that the use of ventilation inlets can reduce fuel consumption by 15 to 25 percent, at least in the cold seasons.
2. Closing all the holes and seams in the house:
This is one of the least expensive ways to reduce fuel consumption in the cold seasons. If there are many holes and seams in the house, more ventilation is needed to create proper air flow from the winter inlets, which increases fuel consumption and causes mold on the floor of the house. Closing and capping the maximum ventilation vents and loading doors can be effective in this regard.
3. House insulation:
The importance of house insulation in saving fuel costs in cold and temperate regions is well established. Using high-coefficient construction materials can help you completely insulate the poultry house. Insulating the doors and windows of the hall using spray and coating insulation can insulate surfaces with low insulation.
4. Using a rotating fan or ceiling fan (Circulation fans):
Warm air is lighter than cold air, so it tends to rise to the ceiling. The air on the ceiling is normally 4-6 degrees Celsius warmer than the air near the floor of the hall. Ceiling fans direct the heat accumulated under the ceiling to the floor of the hall. These fans can reduce fuel consumption by up to 10%.
