Maintaining Heaters During the Cold Season
You can use this guide to maintain heaters in poultry houses and poultry houses during the winter season:
Maintenance before using jet heaters will keep them safe and cool throughout the winter season. When starting work, keep the following in mind:
Always unplug the jet heater before carrying out any maintenance or cleaning.
Always disconnect the fuel supply (gas or diesel)
Always clean the internal and external components thoroughly to avoid fire hazards.
The jet heater must be cooled before carrying out any work.
To clean jet heaters
To disconnect the jet heater from the power supply.
Disconnect the fuel supply.
Use a blower to remove dust
Clean the pilot and burner nozzle with a suitable brush and drill bit.
Clean the inside of the nozzle tube with a brush and compressed air.
Check all gas line connections for leaks and damage.
Check the diesel tank and ensure the tank is in good condition.
It is recommended to use a fixed maintenance program to improve performance and extend the life of the heater.
:Daily
Check all jet heaters and ensure they are working properly and burning properly and normally
:Weekly
Check the gas or diesel tank level.
Make sure the jet heaters are burning properly and the flame is the right color.
:Monthly
Remove dust and dirt from the exterior and body of the jet heater.
Check the gas lines and pipes for leaks.
Clean all internal components of the jet heater thoroughly between periods.
